Elder Jeffery S. Brock
Founded Greater Evangel Ministry Howard County, MD
Elder Jeffery S. Brock completed a Master’s in Christian Ministry from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va. He’s licensed to minister the gospel through Apostolic World Christian Fellowship, Evansville, In. He’s committed to discipleship, supporting church growth, and the ministry of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of the traditional church.
In 1985, Elder Brock shared his testimony, “I have been snatched from the hands of the enemy, and have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.” From that life-changing experience, he dedicated himself to the work of evangelism and the ministry of reconciliation, carrying a deep burden for souls and a passion to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ. He immediately began street ministry training with late Bishop Elder Dwight D. Brock at The Old Pentecost Church, Washington, DC, under the leadership of late Bishop William R. Brock, Sr. He later joined the First United Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic, in Washington, DC, under the leadership of late Bishop Charlie B. Burroughs, Sr.
Throughout the years of ministry service there, He faithfully served in several leadership roles, Junior Deacon, Deacon, Youth Vice President, and Youth President. His ministry efforts included coordinating youth initiatives on both local and district levels, helping to encourage spiritual growth and leadership development among young believers. Leading youth campaings to serving the homeless in Washington, D.C, So Others Might Eat (SOME), He lead youth outreach to the Gallaudet Campus in Washington, D.C.
He continued his journey at Living Water Worship Center, Odenton, Maryland under the leadership and development of Bishop James and Varle Rollins, there he served on the presbytery, led multiple ministry groups, and was eventually elevated to serve in the office of Elder. Subsequently, he and his family transitioned to the New Dimensions Church, in Lanham Maryland, humbly serving under Bishop, Dexter E. Edmund in pastoral leadership, Men’s Director, Evangelism and Outreach Director, and led outreach campaign to the Lanham-New Carrolton communities. Assisted with receiving new members, preaching, and teaching ministries.
While he has had many opportunities to serve, his biggest passion remains “winning souls”. Having personally experienced God’s deliverance from a life once marked by sin, danger, and spiritual bondage, he carries a strong conviction to reach those who are lost, broken, and searching for hope that is in Jesus Christ. He believes God mercifully “snatched him from the hand of the enemy,” and that testimony continues to fuel his commitment for evangelism and outreach.
Through Greater Evangel Ministry, he seeks to cultivate an atmosphere where believers are equipped for meaningful ministry, the local churches are strengthened and growing, and communities are impacted by the Gospel. His vision is to prepare believers to minister with compassion, urgency, and spiritual readiness-envisioning the efforts of workers in an “emergency room” responding to critical needs or a “maternity ward” preparing to receive new life.
He remains committed to developing soul-winning strategies, strengthening the Body of Christ, and equipping believers to fulfill greater works beyond the walls of the local church. In this present season, he continues to walk with renewed vision, fresh revelation, and an unwavering commitment to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
